 Lionel Messi who have been  on fine form right from the onset of the world cup and arguably the best player in the world cup so far wining 3 man of the match award,netting four goals and two assist his stat was very impressive.

This made Messi the only player with the most chances created in the world cup  history since it began,it also made Messi to equalled Gabriel Batistuta as Argentine with the most world cup goals 11.

Argentina who started the world cup on a very  low  key and made people started doubting their capacity after Saudi Arabia beat them 2-1 on their first game.but they took the challenge and bounced back very strong, on their second game with Mexico which they defeated them. thereafter they beat poland  and  qualified to the round of 16 which they met Australia and defeated them and moved to quarter final with Netherlands the game that got people talking about, Argentina are 2 goals up against them at 73minutes but Netherlands equalised at 100minites well in football people said anything can happen that's exactly what just happened with Argentina, and the game head to penalty,Argentina won 4-3 via penalty shoot out that victory took them to semi final which they will meet croatia.

 Messi who won major international trophy  except the world cup,and his  dream right now   is to win the world cup with Argentina and his dream is very much alive.
