EFCC chairman sentenced to prison

A federal high court sitting in Abuja sentenced the chairman of  economic and financial crime commission. 
(EFCC)  Abdulrasheed bawa  to kuji prison the judge, justice chizoba oji. in his ruling said the chairman was sent to prison for contempt (disobeying court order)  of this honourable court made on  November 21st 2018 directing the chairman of the economic and financial crime commission to return to the applicant his   range Rover and a sum of #40m but the chairman disobeyed the court order consequently he should be committed to kuji correctional centre.

Asuu set deadline for FG to meet their demands.

Strike loom as  The academic staff  union of universities  (ASUU) issued fresh warning The academic staff union of universities (asuu) set 31 December 2022 as deadline for federal government to meet their demands over pro-rata salaries. Following  the union suspension of 8months strike  on the 14 of October 2022 due to court order, ASUU were hopeful that federal government will meet their demands but federal government end up disappointing  them by insisting on "no work no pay" policy and introducing pro-rata system on the lecturers by paying them only 18working days,where some professors received #121,000 as salary Senior and junior lecturers received less than that according to the union president  Emmanuel osodeke.
