Asuu set deadline for FG to meet their demands.

Strike loom as  The academic staff  union of universities  (ASUU) issued fresh warning

The academic staff union of universities (asuu) set 31 December 2022 as deadline for federal government to meet their demands over pro-rata salaries.

Following  the union suspension of 8months strike  on the 14 of October 2022 due to court order, ASUU were hopeful that federal government will meet their demands but federal government end up disappointing  them by insisting on "no work no pay" policy and introducing pro-rata system on the lecturers by paying them only 18working days, where some professors received #121,000 as salary Senior and junior lecturers received less than that according to the union president  Emmanuel osodeke.

But the pro-rata system  does not goes well with  ASUU as  they held a NEC meeting on 8 November 2022 and condemned federal government action, they told federal government that they are not casual workers they are intellectuals paying them on pro-rata is unprecedented  in the history of university oriented, consequently we will continue to pursue positive resolution to this avoidable crises.

But since then federal government did not respond positively, and the union set ending of December 2022 to meet their demands on pro-rata salaries via their social media handle.
