Nigerians Drag Bishop Oyedepo For Sacking Church Officials We know that it requires a lot of resources (people, time, and money) to operate a ministry. Each of these resources is valuable and need to be protected. Particularly, a church needs to safeguard its financial resources against embezzlement. I was saddened to read about the case of Winners Chapel, being yet another victim of church embezzlement. Bishop David Oyedepo on Saturday raged at some highly placed officials of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, a.k.a. Winners Chapel, who stole millions of Naira from the church’s treasury, he later sacked the fraudulent officials. Mixed reactions have trailed the decision of David Oyedepo, to sack some church officials for allegedly looting the church’s treasury. BREAKING: Court sacks Ihedioha, declares APC’s Uzodinma winner of election dailytrust.com.ng Jan 14, 2020 6:12 PM The Supreme Court has declared Senator Hope Uzodimma as governor of Imo State. The seven-member panel of justices today held that Emeka Ihedioha was not duly elected Governor. Earlier in the day, the issue of candidacy of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the March 9, 2019 governorship election in Imo state has forced one of the candidates, Uche Nwosu, to withdraw his appeal at the Supreme Court. Nwosu, who decamped to the Action Alliance (AA) before the election, was said to have also been presented by a faction of the APC as the party’s candidate in the election. At the resumed hearing of the appeals from Imo State on Tuesday, Nwosu’s counsel, Solomon Umoh (SAN), informed the apex court panel that he has advised his client to withdraw since the apex court had on December 20 disqualified him for laying claim to two political party nominations. ...

Saraki's family house demolished

BREAKING: Saraki’s family house demolished Kwara State government early Thursday morning allegedly commenced the demolition of the late Olusola Saraki’s ancestral political home, ‘Arúgbó’ compound, in Ilorin. The demolition of the building as gathered by  TribuneOnline  started around 4:00 a.m after the security operatives dispersed protesters including aged women within the complex vicinity on Wednesday. Sources confirmed that security operatives stormed the vicinity around 2:00 a.m, demolished the building but it was met with a protest as people around gathered to chase them away.
